Four people have died and fifteen injured in the Swedish capital of Stockholm after a man drove a car into a department store early Friday.
The truck swerved onto the sidewalk on a busy shopping street, much like recent attacks in other European cities, where vehicles have been used as weapons.
A man has been arrested in connection with the attack, although his identity or possible affiliations to terrorist organizations have not been released by Swedish officials.
Prime Minister Stefan Lofven denounced the attack, saying, “These kinds of actions will never succeed. We know that our enemies are these atrocious murderers and not each other.”
Swedish police confirmed the attack as a terrorist attack, and has heightened security throughout the country.
