Grace Patricia Kelly, more commonly known as Grace of Monaco, was born on November 12th, 1929. A very successful American actress, she quit her job at the height of her career to marry Rainier III, Prince of Monaco. She eventually became heavily involved in philanthropic work, forming AMADE Monidale, a foundation that helps children in need. She had three kids, Princess Caroline of Hannover, Prince Albert II of Monaco, and Princess Stéphanie of Monaco. Grace died in a car crash in 1982 at the age of 52, after suffering a car crash along with her daughter Stéphanie, who survived the incident.

“‘Mogambo’ had three things that interested me. John Ford, Clark Gable, and a trip to Africa with expenses paid. If Mogambo had been made in Arizona, I wouldn’t have done it.”
